Experience
We have decades of experience in providing Pre-Operative clearances. Providers are specialists in Internal Medicine and Occupational Medicine.
Whether it is elective or medically indicated, we weigh the relative risk of performing the surgery within the next 30 days following the evaluation. We take into consideration the exposure to anesthetic, the probable duration of the operation, the patient’s medical condition, and then determine the degree of risk involved versus the benefit of the final surgical outcome.
Scope of Services
We provide out-patient pre-operative clearances for patients of any specialty.
We can also work with the patient on a temporary basis to lower disqualifying blood pressure and/or blood sugar if they would otherwise not be cleared for the surgery.

Our Examination and Evaluation
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
CBC with differential including platelet count
Coagulation studies
STD panel including HepC qualitative and
quantitative upon request
Clinical Lab Test Run includes:
Complete vital signs with BMI and SpO2
Comprehensive internal medicine exam
Record any significant anatomical or functional abnormality that may be present
Full 12 lead ECG with rhythm strip
Draw blood and collect urine for lab analysis
Arrange for a local Chest X- ray and report
Any other specific test will be performed upon your request.
Turn Around Time
We offer fast turn around time from completing our examination and analysis, to you receiving a determination.
In most circumstances, we can deliver a clearance report to you within 2 business days or 48 hours if the patient is seen on a Monday through Wednesday. We also can accommodate special rush exams on a case-by-case basis including weekends.
Insurance
We Accept Workers Compensation, Personal Injury and most PPO Insurance. We only need to determine their eligibility and benefits and whether their policies are in force (in the case of PPO’s).
HIPAA Compliance
All communications and document transmissions including document storage are in compliance with HIPAA regulations. We always use HIPAA certified software and cloud storage to ensure this compliance. Each surgical client will have HIPAA secured direct access to the documentation and reporting of all patients referred to us for examination and evaluation.
Flexible Locations and Times
We are conveniently located in Whittier, California. In many cases we can arrange transportation for patients and offer services in other locations throughout the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County area. We can also be available on Saturdays on a case by case basis.
Additional flexibility of location and time can be realized by the use of Telemedical examinations. With today’s advanced technology, we can utilize telemedicine to obtain continuous real time visual and auditory contact with the patient. This includes auscultation of heart, lungs, abdomen and direct visualization of ears, eyes, nose and throat.
We can see your patients at your office utilizing our highly trained LVNs, CNAs, and/or medical assistants that will be physically present with your patient while one of our experienced Providers will be present throughout the entire examination remotely.
Special Circumstances
Initially disqualified patients can be cleared for procedure
The two most common chronic illnesses that may determine a patient is not a candidate for a surgical procedure is uncontrolled AODM and HTN. We have a special short- term program that has been very effective in reducing these risk factor in order to qualify for a procedure.
In particular, we offer a highly compliant inhaled insulin with continuous glucose monitoring program that can reduce blood glucose and A1C reading dramatically in 6-8 weeks and stabilize a patient to undergo the stress of many procedures.
Respiratory and cardiovascular dysfunction are also commonly seen in this patient demographic. We work closely with pulmonologists and cardiologists to provide the best evidence based decision relative go/no-go clearances. We coordinate all multi-specialty participation in this process to assure the best outcomes.
